Every work of Murano glass is authenticated with a copyright sticker, bearing the mark "Vetro Artistico Murano/Artistic Glass of Murano", which represents a guarantee and testifies that the glass is genuine and made in Murano.

The artists of Murano come from an ancient tradition of glass masters, and utilize techniques for crafting glasswork that have been passed down for generations. Since the hands of the glass masters do not work with the uniformity of a machine, variations in thickness, size, length, height, diameter and weight increase the value of the glass, and are characteristics and proof of handmade glasswork.
